What is a vintage rug?

A vintage rug is a piece of heritage preserved with charming beauty... the are loomed years ago with a dedication to detail and craftsmanship.  Our rugs are not synthetic, nor perfect, because each rug is hand woven creating its own unique story.  The natural wool gives durability and when placed in your home, it creates your own standout style.  Given a little love, these rugs can be gifted to the next generation of vintage lovers. 

We have personally cleaned all of our rugs prior to listing them.  The vintage rugs have normal wear related to their age. The photography of the rugs is taken in natural light.  Be mindful that the rugs may vary in color in your home. Our rugs do not have perfect lines and we believe this adds to the authenticity of these hand woven beauties.

What is our personal story?

Shelley and Melissa are an aunt and niece team that are of Greek decent. Yes, most things you hear about Greek families is true... they live life large, passionately and with lots of love. The core of who they are is church, family, home and of course food. Even with the years between them, they share the same passions. They are lovers of history and museums and have the ability to cook and entertain a crowd. Both Melissa and Shelley have the desire to make a beautiful home, always looking for unique, vintage pieces to fill their hearts and houses. Growing up, Shelley's YiaYia's home was filled with Turkish rugs she brought from Greece.  They were beautiful and rich with heritage.  Over sixty years later they still have their vintage beauty. That is Shelley and Melissa's goal... to provide your home with a timelessly beautiful rug that is uniquely you.
